Nine-point Israel file
1. Passport class
The guidance here covers an ordinary Israeli passport used for a private tourist trip. Diplomatic, service, emergency, refugee, laissez-passer, and special travel documents may be handled differently.
2. Visa category
Tourist eVisa Type T is the usual online option for leisure when the entry point supports it. Work, paid services, reporting assignments, residence, and extended study need another status check.
3. Tourist visa service fee
The Tourist visa service fee is USD 90. Bank conversion from Israeli shekels and card issuer fees are separate from that public fee.
4. Processing time
Normal handling is listed as three business days. Apply with extra margin because weekends, holidays, payment review, or image correction can slow a case.
5. Validity and stay
The visa is valid for entry for three months after issue. It is single entry and the tourist stay is up to one month.
6. Arrival form
Cambodia e-Arrival is a separate submission made within seven days before reaching Cambodia. Keep its confirmation apart from the visa PDF.
7. Open eVisa entry points
Current eVisa entry is listed for KTI, SAI, KOS, Bavet, and Tropaeng Kreal. Match the selected port to the first Cambodian arrival.
8. Closed eVisa points
Poipet and Cham Yeam are temporarily closed for eVisa entry. Do not build a land plan that depends on using either one with an eVisa.
9. Identity rule
Use the passport's Latin-character spelling. Hebrew records, preferred English renderings, and airline profile nicknames should not replace the printed passport data.
Ordinary Israeli passport scope
An ordinary Israeli passport is the standard blue personal passport used by most citizens for private travel. If that is the document in hand, the Cambodian tourist rules above are the relevant starting point. The applicant should still check that the passport is valid, undamaged, and the same document that will be shown to the airline and Cambodian border officer.
This page does not try to cover official travel, military documents, foreign resident permits, or travel by a person who is Israeli but intends to use another nationality's passport. Dual nationals should decide which passport will be used for the entire Cambodia file before applying, because the visa, ticket, arrival declaration, and border presentation need to point to one identity record.
A previous overstay, refusal, lost passport report, criminal matter, or unresolved Cambodian immigration issue can change the risk profile. In that situation, general tourist information is not enough. The traveller should obtain case-specific advice or written clarification before buying a route that cannot easily be changed.
Identity: Hebrew records versus Latin passport data
Israeli citizens often have Hebrew identity documents, Hebrew name order, religious names, family-name changes, or English spellings used in work and travel accounts. The Cambodian visa form should not be built from those alternate records. It should be built from the Latin letters printed in the machine-readable passport identity page.
If the passport shows two given names, enter both where the form allows. If the family name includes a hyphen, space, or particular transliteration, follow that version. Do not simplify a name because a hotel account, credit card, school document, or social profile uses a cleaner spelling. The passport is the document Cambodia will inspect.
Families should check each person separately. Parents and children may share a surname but have different middle names, passport numbers, expiry dates, or newly issued documents. Copying one adult's details into another traveller's case is a common way to create a problem that is hard to repair during check-in.
If a renewal is planned, wait for the new passport before submitting the Cambodian application. An approval connected to the old passport should not be treated as portable to a replacement document unless the official channel confirms the remedy.
Type T fit for a Cambodia holiday
Tourist Type T suits ordinary leisure: Siem Reap temples, Phnom Penh, Kampot, Kep, Battambang, Sihanoukville, island stays, food trips, cultural visits, photography, and short private visits where no work is performed. It can also support a multi-country holiday when Cambodia is one stop after a connection through Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, South Korea, the Gulf, Turkey, or another hub.
The same visa does not authorize employment, local service delivery, journalism, security contracting, business operation, residence, or volunteering that functions as labour. If the purpose involves training staff, representing an employer, paid performance, field research, or staying beyond the tourist period, confirm the correct Cambodian status before leaving Israel.
Single entry matters in regional planning. After the traveller enters Cambodia and then exits to Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, or another destination, that Cambodian entry has ended. A later return to Cambodia needs a fresh lawful basis, not the used single-entry approval.
Application sequence built for Israeli departures
- Confirm that the trip is tourism or a private visit without work.
- Check the ordinary passport for validity, damage, and exact Latin spelling.
- Choose the Cambodian first-entry port before locking land transport.
- Prepare a clear passport-page scan and a current portrait image.
- Enter names, nationality, passport number, and dates from the passport only.
- Pay attention to USD billing, card authentication, and possible ILS conversion.
- Save the application reference, payment receipt, and every confirmation email.
- When approval arrives, compare each field with the passport and itinerary.
- Within seven days before arrival, complete Cambodia e-Arrival separately.
- Carry printed and offline digital copies of the visa, e-Arrival record, insurance, route, hotel address, and consular contacts.
Use an email account that the traveller can access outside Israel. If a private agency or tour organiser assists, the traveller should still receive the approval file and reference number directly, or at least have immediate access to them.
Timing and calendar control
This application service lists normal Type T processing as three business days. That should be treated as the routine target, not a reason to wait until the last moment. Israeli itineraries often involve overnight flights, early security screening, separate tickets, and a calendar day change before reaching Cambodia.
Plan from the Cambodian arrival date. A passenger may depart Tel Aviv on Monday evening, connect in Istanbul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, or Ho Chi Minh City, and reach Cambodia on Tuesday or Wednesday. The visa validity window and the e-Arrival seven-day window should be counted against the date of first Cambodian entry, not the hour the first flight leaves Israel.
Applying one to two weeks before travel is usually workable when the Cambodia entry date will remain within the three-month validity period. If the trip is still uncertain, avoid applying so early that a postponed arrival might fall outside the entry-validity window.
Money, ILS cards, and receipts
Our Tourist Visa application service fee is USD 90. An Israeli card may display an ILS hold, settle through a dollar balance, request app confirmation, or apply a foreign transaction percentage. Those banking events are not Cambodian visa decisions, but they can affect whether a payment completes.
Do not immediately submit multiple applications after a confusing payment screen. First check the email inbox, spam folder, card app, and pending transaction list. Duplicate attempts can create extra charges or competing records that complicate support requests.
Private assistance fees, if used, are separate from the Tourist visa service fee. Assistance can help with document review, reminders, or correcting obvious form problems. It cannot guarantee approval, change official processing time, or force admission after arrival. The total charge should be visible before passport data and card details are sent.
For travel inside Cambodia, carry more than one payment path where possible. A blocked roaming plan can interfere with card authentication, document retrieval, and bank security messages at the same time.
Route checks and security rechecks
Before departure, verify every country on the itinerary, including transit stops. The practical questions are whether the passenger remains airside, whether bags must be collected, whether airport changes are involved, whether a self-transfer creates an immigration entry, and what the airline will demand before boarding. These are route-management checks, not political statements.
For Cambodia, current eVisa entry points are KTI, SAI, KOS, Bavet, and Tropaeng Kreal. Poipet and Cham Yeam are temporarily closed for eVisa entry. A traveller planning a land approach should confirm the border before paying for buses, private cars, or tours.
If the airline, schedule, or regional plan changes after visa approval, repeat the route check. A valid Cambodia PDF does not solve a new itinerary that arrives at an unsupported or temporarily closed checkpoint. Likewise, choosing Bangkok, Istanbul, Singapore, or another transit city in a field meant for Cambodian entry can create a mismatch.
Security screening may occur at departure, transfer, airline counters, hotel check-in, or border arrival. Prepare complete documents and allow time for questions. Avoid presenting inconsistent explanations across the ticket, hotel booking, visa, e-Arrival form, and insurance record.
e-Arrival seven-day task
Cambodia e-Arrival must be completed separately within seven days before arrival. Use the same Israeli passport, the same Latin spelling, the actual arrival date, the first Cambodian accommodation, and the correct flight or land-route information. Save the resulting confirmation or QR record where it can be opened offline.
Do not assume a visa approval email includes e-Arrival. They are different records. The visa concerns permission to seek tourist entry under Type T; the arrival declaration supplies arrival information near the travel date.
If a tour company changes the first hotel or a flight changes after submission, use the current official correction process where available. Creating a second inconsistent record without understanding the procedure can invite more questions than the original change.
Accepted and unavailable eVisa borders
| Border or airport | Current eVisa relevance for Israeli tourist planning |
|---|---|
| KTI | Listed for eVisa entry. Use it when this is the first Cambodian airport arrival. |
| SAI | Listed for eVisa entry and commonly relevant for Siem Reap itineraries. |
| KOS | Listed for eVisa entry for Sihanoukville airport arrivals. |
| Bavet | Listed for eVisa entry for eligible land movement from Vietnam. |
| Tropaeng Kreal | Listed for eVisa entry for eligible land movement from Laos. |
| Poipet | Temporarily closed for eVisa entry. |
| Cham Yeam | Temporarily closed for eVisa entry. |
Port information can change after a visa is issued. Recheck the official list close to travel, especially if the route depends on a land border rather than a direct flight into Cambodia.
Consular contingency and insurance
Before leaving Israel, store Israeli consular contact information, insurer emergency numbers, passport copies, visa files, and family emergency contacts both digitally and offline. A printed copy in cabin baggage is useful when a battery, SIM, or cloud login fails.
Consular assistance has limits. Officials may provide information, support communication, or assist according to their role, but they cannot guarantee a Cambodian visa, override Cambodian law, pay private debts, require an airline to board someone, or force a hospital or police authority to act outside local procedure.
Insurance should match the planned activity. Check medical evacuation, missed connections, theft, motorcycle riding, diving, trekking, cancellation, pre-existing conditions, and remote-province travel. Visa approval does not prove an insurer will cover a claim.
If a passport is lost or stolen in Cambodia, follow local reporting steps, contact consular assistance, and ask Cambodian immigration what exit formalities are required. A replacement travel document may solve only part of the problem if the Cambodian entry record must also be regularised.
Group travel, minors, and document control
Group tours from Israel should not leave travellers without their own paperwork. Each person should have the visa approval, e-Arrival confirmation, receipt, application reference, first hotel address, and emergency contacts. A guide's phone should not be the only location for the entire group's records.
Minors travelling with one parent, relatives, school groups, or youth programmes may need consent, custody, or departure documentation for Israel, transit countries, airlines, or insurers. Cambodian Type T approval does not replace those separate requirements.
For families with similar names, file labels help. Use each traveller's first name and the last digits of the passport number rather than a generic family folder containing several indistinguishable PDFs. At check-in, showing the wrong child's visa can delay the whole group.
Before boarding
On departure day, check the ordinary Israeli passport, Type T eVisa, e-Arrival confirmation, ticket, first Cambodian accommodation, insurance, payment receipt, and onward or return plan. The information should be consistent across all of them.
Allow time at Ben Gurion Airport and at transfer airports for document review. Keep Cambodia files in cabin baggage, not only in checked luggage. If a transfer requires baggage collection or a terminal change, verify the transit country's entry requirements before reaching the airport.
If the passport, route, or purpose has changed since approval, pause and verify the correct fix before travel. It is usually easier to repair a record before boarding than to explain a mismatch after reaching a foreign counter.
Questions Israeli travellers ask
Is a Cambodia visa required for an Israeli ordinary passport?
Yes. Tourist travel by an Israeli citizen with an ordinary Israeli passport requires a valid Cambodian visa unless another lawful status applies.
What does Tourist Type T cost?
Our Tourist Visa application service fee is USD 90.
How fast is normal processing?
Normal processing is three business days. Extra time is sensible for payment checks, holidays, image problems, or route changes.
How long can I stay?
Type T is valid for entry for three months from issue, gives one entry, and allows up to one month in Cambodia.
Should I use Hebrew spelling on the form?
No. Use the Latin letters printed in the Israeli passport, even if Hebrew documents or everyday English spelling differ.
When is e-Arrival submitted?
Submit Cambodia e-Arrival within seven days before reaching Cambodia. It is separate from the visa application.
Which eVisa ports are listed?
KTI, SAI, KOS, Bavet, and Tropaeng Kreal are listed. Poipet and Cham Yeam are temporarily closed for eVisa entry.
